SURF CHAMPIONSHIP
VISITING TEAMS ARRIVE. ; ’ MARANUI, ST. CLAIR, LYALL BAY. ? The first of .the visiting teams for! the New Zealand surf championships; Maranui (Wellington) and St. Clair (Dunedin) arrived at New Plymouth by the mail train last night. Lyall Bay arrived later by motor. ' The teams were welcomed by Messrs. H. S. Weston and R. Perkins, chairman and secretary respectively of the Taranaki Surf Association, Mr. A. Ross, of the New Zealand Surf Council, and a good muster of members of the New Plymouth clubs. Two of the Auckland teams are expected, to arrive thismomirig. . " ' .' :.. .
