WEST END JUBILEE
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. There was an attendance of about 40 at a meeting of the jubilee general committee of the West End school on Monday night. Mr. C. O. Berg presided. • Several old pupils living outside Taranaki wrote expressing good wishes for the jubilee celebrations. Mr. D. Roberts attended the meeting and reported progress regarding the scheme of decorations for the agricultural hall. It was decided that each member of the jubilee general committee should wear an official badge. A commencement will be made with the signing of the rolls at the school ou Sunday, March 3, it was decided. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. K. N. Andrews for helping the funds and to the donors of prizes for last Saturday’s garden party at Kawaroa Park. Mr. A. H. Bailey reported a profit from the garden party of £lO 6s 3d. The meeting expressed thanks to those who had worked for the gathering, particularly 1 Mr. Bailey and Mr. G. Newell.
