BODY IDENTIFIED
CORPSE IN MANAWATU RIVER. NO FURTHER EVIDENCE FOUND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Feb. 15.
Following extensive inquiries the police have established the identity of the body of a man found in the Manawatu River in January as Edward Heading, labourer, employed in a State forest camp at Karioi, near Taihape. An inquest was held a few days after the discovery, but will not be re-opened, as there is no fresh evidence how Heading came to be in the water. It is not known whether Heading had relatives in New Zealand.
