WAITARA
Mrs. H. West is a visitor to Auckland. ' Mrs. J. W. Hamlin is visiting Wellington. Miss G. Hoskin left during the week on a visit to Auckland. The Misses Gamlin, Opunake, are th£ guests of Mrs. B. Jury, Tikorangi. Miss Jean Jupp left on Monday to spend a holiday at Auckland. Miss N. Alston, New Plymouth, spent ’the week-end as the guest of Miss M. Allen at Waipapa beach. Miss L. Newman left on Monday for Auckland, where she will attend the training college. Mrs. T. McGregor, Wanganui,, has been Spending a few days with Mrs. P. Sampson,. Sentry Hill. An enjoyable flag five hundred evening in aid of funds of the Waitara Girl Guides Association was held in St. John’s hall on Monday. Mrs. Vaughan, president of the association, presented the prizes to the winning table, after which supper was served by the committee.
