CHINESE GARDENER INJURED. THREATS TO ANIMAL WITH AXE. By Telegraph-Press Association. Foxton, Jan. 18. A Chinese market gardener, Low Hing, was gored by a bull to-day. He was passing through’ a paddock when the bull commenced to paw the ground and bellow. The Chinese, who was armed with an axe, went up to the animal, grabbed the chain attached to its nose and threatened it with the axe. The bull knocked him down, but did not continue to gore him. Mr. Holgerson, owner of the farm, went to his assistance and he was able to walk to,the whare where medical examination proved that he had suffered a> crushed chest and a gored arm. He is now in the Palmerston North hospital. .
