4000 NOBLES ATTEND
ITALIAN PRINCESS’ WEDDING. COMMENT ON MOTHER’S ABSENCE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rome, Jan. 14; Over 4000 of the Spanish nobility attended the wedding of the Infanta Princess Beatrice to Prince Alessandro. ExKing Alfonso gave his daughter away. The Pope gave audience to the couple after the ceremony. They are spending their honeymoon in the United States. A London cable states that Queen Ena remained at London. Her secretary said he could not give the reason why Her Majesty did not go to Rome. An official statement has been issued as follows: “Queen Ena does not wish to make any communication to the Press about her private affairs.” A Paris cable states that King Alfonso did everything possible to secure the Queen’s attendance at their daughter s wedding. Her absence is her outward sign that the disunion has now become final.
