PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. Nurse Cartwright and Mrs. A. Cartwright are making a motor tour of the North Island. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bigelow are spending the school holidays at New Plymouth. . Mrs. W. J. Symons, Auckland, is visiting Mrs. W. H. Ackland, Mountain Road. Mrs. H. D. Morgan and her wee sor are staying with Mr. and Mrs. W. H Ackland,'Mountain Road. Mrs. Finucane, Gisborne, is at present the guest of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Ackand, Wortley Road. ‘Mr. C. H. Hellier, who has been an inmate of the New Plymouth hospital, hopes to be home soon. Miss Anderson, assistant school teacher, is recovering from her serious illness. Mr. F. Copestake is well enough to return to Lepperton after his recent accident. Mrs. J. H. Blyde and family are spending a holiday at New Plymouth. Mrs. W. J. McCormick, Inglewood, and Mr. Arch McCormick, Sanson, have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Blyde. Several families in the district have had measles during the holidays. What must almost be a record for cheese factories was achieved on Christmas morning at Lepperton, as the last cart was at the factory by 7.15 a.m., the staff having finished all their work by 1 p.m. The recent rains have been responsible for an increase in production and the factory has commenced another vat again.
