LEAGUE ATHLETICS
HANDICAPPER GRADES CYCLISTS. Cycling members of the New Plymouth Cycle and Athletic League have been graded by the official handicapper (Mr. L. E. Smith) as follow:— A grade: A. EIIL, T. Haw, W. Ashman, J. Foote, L. Stevens, G. Stevens, L. Wood, F. Fussell, H. Snowden, A. Reeve, C. Burke, C. Parker, G. Parker, C. Gilbert, H. Eva, L. Mace and T. Hookham. B grade: W. Ireland, R. Wood, R. Greenlees, D. Bond, P. Dunn. B. Sole, D. Newall, S. Moffitt, C. Pulford, D. Knight, T. Knight, N. Knight, A. Warren, C. Neighbour and V. Snowden. The first races of the series will be run at Western-Park on Monday evening next.' The A and B grade cycle races will be over long distances of a halfmile and one mite, white a free entry scratch race will also be run for both grades. This race will be open to competitors who' have paid two entry fees for the evening. Running events and boys’' cycling and foot races will be arranged on the ground.
