WOOL PRICES INCREASE

BETTER CLASS OF FLEECE VALUES FIRM ON WELLINGTON. SECOND NAPIER SALE REPORT. BRADFORD THE BIGGEST BUYER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. Values fully firm on Wellington ruled at the second Napier wool sale, which opened yesterday morning. Rates on better class fleece Showed an increase, averaging id to id on December rates. Competition was particularly keen and well spread. The Continent was more strongly represented than in December, Japan and America were strong on super lots, though Bradford was actually the biggest buyer for all round fleece wools. The rates for pieces did not show an appreciable advance on the last Napiet rates. The wool generally was in good order, carrying more conditFbh than in December. Vendors showed themselves more prepared to meet the market, only 15 per cent, of the first two catalogues being passed. There Was animated bidding from all sections, the selling being ex* ceptionally rapid. The first catalogue of over 400 lots was disposed of in 35 minutes.
