Miss E. J. Harris has returned from a holiday visit to Cambridge. Miss Margaret Thomas entertained her friends at afternoon tea yesterday. Mrs. S. F. Burgess has returned from a holiday at Urenui. Mrs. A. J. Papps left yesterday on a holiday visit to Russell. Mrs. W. B. Rowan, Waipukurau, is spending a holiday art New Plymouth. Mrs. G. Cogan arrived from Dunedin on Thursday on a visit to Mrs. G. Bradbury.

Mrs. J. W. Nicholson, Papatoetoe, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. F. J. Morris, will leave during the weekend on her return.

Miss Helen Rutherford has returned to New Plymouth after spending a few days at Patea. Mrs. Eric Cutfield returned to Wanganui this week after a holiday at the Belt Road motor camp.

Miss Dora Fairbrother, Wellington, is visiting New Plymouth as the guest of Mrs. C. Fairbrother.

Mrs. L. G. Walker arrived from Wanganui last night on a visit to Mrs. M. J. Armstrong.

Mrs. Gannaway, Auckland, is spending the week-end at New Plymouth as the guest of Mrs. J. Ramson. Miss Noeline Clark will leave to-day to spend a holiday of several weeks at Tauranga.

Mrs. Ashmore, Wanganui, is spending a holiday at New Plymouth and is the guest of Mrs. G. M. Lott. Mrs. F. L. Hunt left by car yesterday to spend a holiday at Palmerston North.

Mrs. Fred Cleland and family, Otorohanga, have,taken Mrs. Shewry’s house for the holidays.

Mrs. Geoffrey Seise, who has been visiting Mrs. H. Bedingfield, has returned to Wanganui.

Mrs. Frank Broughan, Blenheim, is visiting New Plymouth and is a guest at Sarnia House.., Mrs. Low and Miss E. Low have returned to Marton after visiting New Plymouth for the holidays. Mrs. Handley Brown returned to New Plymouth on Thursday after spending the Christmas and New Year holidays at Te Aroha.

Mrs. L. M. Moss who has been visiting Christchurch for the holidays, will return to New Plymouth to-day. Miss Nola Huse, Hamilton, and Miss Sylvia Ryan, Hawera, are the guests of their; grandmother, Mrs. B. Huse, “Roya Neh,” New Plymouth.

Mrs. Hill-Johnson and family, Helensville, have been spending a holiday at the Belt Road motor camp.

Miss I. McMullan and Miss E. McMullan, Hastings, left New Plymouth yesterday on a holiday visit to Dunedin.

Mrs. W. Benefield and Misses Z. and J. Benefield arrived from Aramoho yesterday to spend a holiday at New Plymouth.

Mrs. Quin, who was the guest of Miss J. Home for the New Year holidays, returned to Wanganui on Thursday. Mrs, F. Symes, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Chandler, at Rotorua, will return to New Plymouth by car today.

Miss Olwyn Griffiths returned to Marton on Thursday after spending Christmas and New Year with her mother, Mrs. H. V. S. Griffiths.

Mrs. J. McFarland and Mrs. Charles Willis, who were the guests of Mrs. C. E. Williams for a few days this week, have returned to Wanganui.

Mrs. R. E. Fisher arrived at New Plymouth on Thursday night after a trip abroad. She is staying at the White Hart Hotel.
