GRENADIER GUARDS OFFICER. ESTATE CAUSES SURPRISE, By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright London, Jan. 2. Major James Archibald Morrison, of the Grenadier Guards, unaccountably left only £5OOO instead of £200,000 at which his fortune was estimated when he died in October. The testator’s uncle left him £200,000 in 1900. Major Morrison lived as a country gentleman. He had a palatial home in Kensington Court, and supposedly he kept his expenditure within his income. The founder of the family fortunes was the testator’s Scottish great-uncle, who came to, London with the traditional sixpence. He became a drapery shophand, married his enfployer’s daughter, and founded the warehouse.
