FIRE AT INGLEWOOD

PARTIAL DESTRUCTION OF SHED. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY ACCIDENTS. The Inglewood Fire Brigade received a call at about 9 o’clock on Christmas night to Cutfleld Streep where a shed in which a little hay had been stacked earlier in the day was well afire. At the time it was raining very heavily and the flare could be seen for miles, so that 4 good crowd soon gathered. The brigade soon had the fire under control and only half the shed was damaged. Several minor accidents occurred in the Inglewood district during Christmas, but no one was injured. On Christmas Day two motor-cyclists collided in the main street and the cycles were damaged. An ancient model. car, while rounding the post office comer, had a blow-out which caused the car to lurch heavily and nearly topple over. Both the back tyres were blown off, but after buying two new inner tubes the party proceeded on the journey.
