The Auckland Racing Club was again favoured with fine weather for the second day of its summer meeting. The Ellerslie track was very fast and the attendance fair. The totalisator handled £33,867 10s against £30,085 10s for the same day last .year when it rained, an increase of £3782. The total for the two days was £109,141 10s compared with £99,300 10s last year, an increase of £9841. Chromadyne fell in the Ponsonby Hurdles, injuring his shoulder and had to be destroyed.
