GERMAN ARMAMENT
CRITICISM BY BRITAIN REACTION IN GERMANY COMPLAINT MINIMISED CLAIM MADE TO EQUALITY By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, Nov. 29. The newspaper publish long extracts from Mr. Winston Churchill’s and Mr. Stanley Baldwin’s speeches in the House of Commons, in which they condemned German rearmament. The comments mostly express relief that Britain at last has awakened to Germany’s menace, and proposes to do something about it. A Berlin message states that the newspapers generally make light of Mr. Churchill’s and Mr. Baldwin’s references to *lhe alleged German rearmament. Nearly all of them reproach Mr. Baldwin for not referring to Germany’s rights of equality.
