CLOTHES IN “WE’RE RICH AGAIN.” Lovely femininity displayed in glamorous clothes is a striking feature, of the screen comedy “We’re Rich Again.” Chic outfits for sub-deb., alluring costumes for the bride-to-be, ultra-fashion-able frocks for the young matron and dashing sports clothes for young and old alike are to be seen in this sparkling satire on the smart set. Marion Nixon wears several. delightful creations designed by Walter Plunkett, R.K.0.-Radio studio costumer. One is a ravishing gown of pale pink net over rose pink satin. It is tightly moulded to the figure, and has the most adorable flounces zigzagging around the bottom of the skirt. A waist-line cape, fashioned from pale pink voile roses mounted on net, is worn with the frock. Another street outfit is a white linen frock with a red and white striped seersucker jacket. The jacket has hood sleeves with a tight undersleeve showing through the slits in the hoods. A glamorous white satin lace-trim-med frock is another creation that may send women audiences out on a hunt for something like it. Billie Burke Popular Star. Billie Burke, beloved stage and screen star, also presents a fashion parade all her own. Her gown for the wedding scene is a delightful creation in Flemish blue net, highlighted at neck and belt with two pale pink camelias. It has - bewitching ruffles at the neck and j

sleeves and adorning the skirt. With it she wears a piquantly frivolous hat of Flemish blue horsehair straw. Another outfit worn by Miss Burke is a pyjama ensemble of henna georgette crepe, with a Chinese jacket of quilted ivory satin embroidered in gold. Joan Marsh as the Bride. Joan Marsh, playing the potential bride, has several “snappy” outfits that are particularly adapted to the debutante. One frock has a black crepe skirt with an alluring blouse of red, grey, and black sheer. Gloria Shea, in the role of the younger sister, displays in many of her scenes what the up-to-the-minute swimming girl of 1934 should wear. Edna May Oliver, elongated comedienne, is seen in the correct attire for polo players, as well as in formal gowns. Hard-Working Star. A perusal of the shooting of tire chief scenes of “Evensong,” the new GaumontBritish picture starring Evelyn Laye, reveals that out of the thirty-nine days of shooting, Miss Laye worked at the studio on thirty-eight, says a studio correspondent. It is extremely unusual for a star to be called on so many successive days with no more than one day’s “break”; but Miss Laye’s part is of such magnitude that her presence is required in many scenes “But I've thoroughly enjoyed it,” said the star. “In fact I’ve never had a happier period of work. I’ve made so manv friendships in the studio and we ve all had such fun that I almost wish that ‘Evensong,’ as we have been making it. was a stage show. Then we could all go on tour together for the rest of the summer.”
