WAITARA
Mrs. D. Dowsett, who has been the guest of Mrs. C. F. Dowsett, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. L. Skemp left on Wednesday for Auckland, from where she will leave for Australia. Mrs. I. Clark is a visitor to Hawera. Mrs. Aitken left during the week on a visit to Wanganui. An enjoyable time was spent by a large number in St. John s hall on Wednesday, when the boy scout committee held a flag five hundred evening. Mrs. Kirby was the winner* of the womens prize.
