NEW DRIVERS’ TESTS
SPECIAL BRITISH ORGANISATION.
TRANSPORT MINISTER’S DECISION.
British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 27. The Minister of Transport, Mr. L. Hore-Belisha, has decided to set up a special organisation to undertake tests of new drivers under the Road Traffic Act. In accordance with that Act all those whose driving licenses bear a date subsequent to April ]. 1934, are subject to such tests, and future licenses will be granted only after such tests have been passed.
