SAFETY ON THE ROADS
WHITE PAINT ADVOCATED. A suggestion that the approaches to all bridges be painted white was made to the Egmont County Council yesterday by Mr. Wynyard, of the Main Highways Board. He complimented the council on the good alignment except in regard to the Oaonui bridge. Mr. W. C. Green (county chairman) said most bridges were painted except an old wooden structure approaching the town, which it would be useless to paint in its present stage.
