(British Official Wireless). Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 27. Answering a question in the House of Commons the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, recalled that the Bank for International Settlements was set up not merely to handle reparation payments but also to assist In collaboration between central banks, and that Britain was a party to the resolution passed at the International Economic Conference, which reaffirmed the declaration favouring the close and continuous co-operation of central banks and expressed the view that the Bank for International Settlements should play an increasingly important part in that process.
