DUKE’S FIRST FLIGHT
GREAT RECEPTION AT LISMORE.
CHEERED BY MANY THOUSANDS.
By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright. Rec. 10.10 pan. Sydney, Nov. 28. The Duke of Gloucester left Mascot this morning in Mr. C. T. P. Ulm’s plane, Faith in Australia, piloted by Mr. "Scotty” Allen, for Lismore, escorted by three Wapiti Air Force machines. The Duke returned early in the afternoon, smiling happily after his first flight in Australia. Lismore gave him a wonderful welcome considering the size of the town. The main streets were packed hours before his arrival and he was cheered by thousands as he drove through.
