Rec. 8.10 p.m. Chicago, Nov. 27 Two Federal agents hunting for the last remnants of the gang led by John Dillinger, the notorious American gangster, were attacked by two gunmen in an automobile on a suburban road. One was tentatively identified as George "Baby Face” Nelson, formerly Dillinger’s lieutenant.

In a furious exchange of gunfire one of the agents was killed and the other was seriously wounded. The gangsters escaped. The wounded agent participated in the killing of Dillinger on July 23.
