STEERING GEAR LOCKS
MOTOR-CAR CRASHES INTO POLE.
ONE PASSENGER SERIOUSLY HURT.

Gisborne, Nov. 28.
Due to the steering gear locking, a car driven by Mr. D. G. Robertson, field inspector for the Lands Department, crashed into a telegraph post on the Ormond Road this morning. Mr. J. W. Pearce, one of the six occupants of the car, was seriously injured about the head. The others suffered minor injuries.
