SENSATION IN JAPAN
MINISTER’S RESIGNATION MILITARY MAKE DEMANDS FINANCE POLICY EFFECT ILL-HEALTH CAUSE *GIVEN By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.30 p.m. Tokio, Nov. 27. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Sandanobu Fujii, tendered his resignation, causing a sensation in Government circles. It is understood that he Opposes the huge military Budget demands as weakening his financial policy. The reason for his resignation is given as ill-health.
The Emperor has sanctioned the appointment of the ex-War Minister, General Jiro Minami, as successor to General Hishikari, Ambassador and commander of the Japanese army in Manchukuo. Mr. K. Takahashi, the mentor of Mr. Fujii, has resumed the portfolio of finance.
