LAUNCH WRECKED
MAORI FISHERMAN DROWNS.
TRAGEDY AT CHATHAM ISLANDS.
By Telegraph-Press Association. Wellington, November 27. The Director-General of the Post Office advises that the following message was received to-day from the superintendent of the Chatham Islands by radio:— “The fishing launch Silver Dawn ran ashore at the entrance to Port Hutt about 7 p.m. yesterday in a thick fog. A Maori fisherman named Moses Rer;eti was drowned. His body was recovered. The remainder of the crew reached safety.”
