CRICKET CLUB EVENING
EGMONT VILLAGE GATHERING. The Egmont Village Cricket Club held a successful euchre party and dance in the Egmont Village hall on Tuesday. There was a splendid attendance, including people from many neighbouring districts. Music was supplied by the Royal Maori String Band. Mr. J. Dryden was master of ceremonies. Nine tables were engaged in the euchre., resulting in Mrs. J Thomason winning the ladies’ first prize and Miss Morton the second prize. Messrs. G. Barnes, and H. Benny won the men’s first and second prizes. Monte Carlo waltzes were popular, and Mr. A. Dryden and Miss Gladys Gyde won the first and Mr. Dodunski and Miss V. Dryden the second. A competition was won by Miss Morton. Supper was served by members of the club.
