Police guarded every door at the police court to-day when Gerald Griffin, a New Zealand salesman aged 28, was charged with being a prohibited immigrant. He was remanded until Friday on £lOO bail. People crowded the rear of thb court but there was no demonstration. Egon Edward Kisch, who was also charged with being a prohibited immigrant, chatted with Griffin in the vestibule as they waited for their cases, to ba called. Mr. Piddipgton, for Kisch, asserted that the Gaelic language in which a dictation test was given Kisch was absolutely false in law, on the ground that it was not a European language but a remnant of & language, and that the man who administered the test did not know the language. The case concerning Kisch was adjourned till to-morrow.
