LONG WAIT AVOIDED
STRATHAIRD EASILY BERTHED.
LINER’S VISIT TO WELLINGTON.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night.
No trouble was encountered in berthing the Strathaird at the Pipitea wharf this morning, and a repetition of the long wait at Auckland owing to difficulty in bringing the ship to the wharf was avoided. This afternoon a luncheon was given aboard the vessel and attended by the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) and many prominent business men.
