SHIPMENT OF OATS
BIG CARGO GOING TO ENGLAND.
SOUTHLAND STOCK EXHAUSTED.
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Invercargill, Last Night.
The Norfolk will sail from Bluff this week with 19,000 sacks of Garton oats for England. It is stated that it is some years since a quantity such as this was shipped from New Zealand overseas. Southland stocks of grade oats are almost exhausted and the new season’s crop will meet a bare market as far as Southland is concerned.
