To-day’s results included the following:— Men’s singles:—Second round: Perry defeated Walker 6 —o, 6—3, 6 —2. Men’s doubles:—First round: Dunlop and Donohoe defeated Chave and Rodgers o—6, 6—l, 7—5, 6—4; Crawford and McGrath defeated Colvin and Hungerford 6—l, 6—o, I—4; Thompson and Moore defeated Ewin and Kay 6—3, 7—5, 6-4. Women’s doubles: —First round: Misses Lyle and Dearman defeated Mrs. Harper and Miss Valkenburg 6—o, 6—o.

Perry, playing with great zest, revealed perfect stroking to defeat the interstate representative Walker. The easy win was due more to Perry's winners than to his opponent’s errors.
