SWIMMING RACES HELD
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB NIGHT. Under ideal conditions the weekly meeting of the New Plymouth Amateur Swimming and Old Boys Surf Clubs was held at the New Plymouth municipal baths last night. The water reached a temperature of 76 degrees, which was outstandingly high for “the time of the y Following swimming and diving coaching races were organised, with the following results:— , 33 1-3 yards junior girls: Miss Hoben 1, Miss Malcolm 2. ' 66 2-3 yards senior women: Miss L. Fox 1, Miss N. Richardson 2,- Miss K. Skipper 3. . 33 1-3 yards junior boys: Soar 1, Priest 2, Hoben 3. 66 2-3 yards intermediate boys: Rawson 1, Taylor 2, Aldous 3. 66 2-3 yards senior men: J. Hetherington 1, J. Neville 2, R. Charters 3. * The following members are requested to attend the baths on Thursday at 5 p.m.: Staunton, Lealand, Clayton, Thomas, Watkins, Blakeney, Simpson, Gayton, Whitehead, Meredith, Charters, Gayton, Rea, Ames, Clarke.
