UNDER CAR’S WHEELS
DEATH OF A LITTLE GIRL FATHER GARAGING THE VEHICLE DEAD BODY FOUND AFTERWARDS. CHILD THOUGHT IN THE HOUSE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. An accident occurred at Ophir, Central Otago, at 7.15 this evening by which a child, Pauline Elizabeth Mcßreen, aged 17 months, was killed. The family had returned from a motor trip and the car was stopped near the garage. Some packages were taken into the house. When the father, William McBreen, returned to the car he asked where the child was, and was told she was inside. He then drove the car into the garage. The child had apparently been near the car, and when the father came back he found her dead body alongside the car tracks. The rear wheel had passed over her head.
