EXPORT OF FRUIT
AGREEMENT UPON CONTROL.
AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND.
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Wellington, Nov. 23.
A conference this week between representatives of the Australian Apple and Pear Council’ and the New Zealand Fruit Board came to decisions relating to the control of export of fruit, but their .exact nature will not be revealed until they receive the consideration of growers Tn the United Kingdom and other Empire countries.
Underlying the negotiations was recognition that the apparent over-produc-tion was due entirely to the present dislocation of international trade. The conference did not subscribe to the theory of over-production. The attitude was that intelligent planning would overcome the present trade conditions and that world production eventually would be absorbed.
