EXHIBITION OF ART
NORTH TARANAKI SOCIETY. There has been a steady flow of .visitors to the North Taranaki Arts and Crafts Society’s exhibition at New Plymouth and surprise has been expressed at the quantity and quality of the entries. As such appreciation has been shown and so many requests made it has been decided to remain open for another week so as to give those who have not seen the show an opportunity of doing so. The views expressed by competent critics on the work of Taranaki artists have been very encouraging, the consensus of opinion being that the exhibition has been extremely worth-while and that the work shows some excellent quality, the scope and variety being a much remarked feature. Excellent examples of careful study in pencil, pen and ink, pastel, water colour and oil are on view. Many visitors have been astonished at the strides made in the short time the society has been functioning.
