LITTLE FLUCTUATION. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS. There have been few changes in market prices at New Plymouth during the past week. There have been two reductions in the vegetable list, while in the fruit section red currants supplies are now available. Yesterday’s quotations were;— Fruit: Apples, Delicious 4d, cookers 4d, Sturmers 4d; plums, 6d per lb; cherries, Is 8d per lb; oranges, South Australian Valencias, 5 and 6 for Is; lemons. Tauranga, 10 for Is; bananas, 241 b for Is; pineapples, Is 6d each; hothouse tomatoes, Is 4d per lb; grapes, Is per lb; strawberries, Is 8d to 2s per chip; gooseberries, 4d per lb; red currants, 8d per lb. Nolan and Co. reported medium pens at their poultry sale at New Plymouth yesterday when the following prices were realised: Hens, Is 6d to 2s 8d; roosters, Is 8d to 2s Id; cockerels, large 2s to 2s Bd, small IJd to 8d; ducks, Is 6d to Is lid; ducklings, Is to 2s 9d; geese, 2s 9d to 3s; bantams 9d to Is Id. A record for the Melbourne wool sales this season was established when extra super Merino realised 17fd. ■ The market generally was very firm. The Brisbane wool sales closed with keen competition. Fleece wools showed a hardening tendency, while all other sorts were firm. Greasy sold to 16d and scoured 25|d. BRISK DEMAND FOR WOOL. LONDON SALES CONTINUED. London, Nov. 22. At the wool sales 10,173 bales were offered, including 2684 from New Zealand, while 7966 Australian and New Zealand were sold. The offerings were largely Merino.
