PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS.
Owing to Mr. Shaw being ill the Pukeho school has been closed for a fortnight, Mr. and Mrs. H f Crowe and family were visitors to Matau last week. Mrs. A. Skellern, who has been spending a holiday at New Plymouth, has returned.
Miss Beulah George was a visitor to Kohuratahi’ and Tahora last week. Miss Grace Surrey has returned from Te Aroha, where she has been staying for t several weeks. Messrs. A. Lambert and Bruce Smith, Fihama, were visitors to Pukeho during the week-end.
What might have proved a serious accident happened to Miss Grace George. While she was riding a horse it fell and rolled on her. She badly sprained her knee and ankle.
Mrs. D. Tempero has returned to her home at Midhirst after a holiday at Pukeho. Mrs. Liffertin is spending a few weeks with Mrs. Elliot.
Miss H. Guilford, New Plymouth, was the guest of Mrs. J. Drummond last week. Mrs. J. Klenner was the guest of Mrs. H. George during the week-end. Mrs. D. Lambert and Miss M. Gall were visitors during the week-end as the guest of Mrs. A. Gall. Mrs. Len George motored through to Fitzroy to visit her mother, Mrs. Cisbrook, last week. Mrs. Raven senr., accompanied by Mrs. W. Raven, returned to Eltham last week.
Mrs. R. Wisnewski, who has been staying with Mrs. F. Wisnewski, Inglewood, has returned to her new home.
Mrs. A. Elliot has returned from Inglewood.
Mr. A. E. Surrey and Miss G. Surrey motored, through to Hawera last week for the show.
Mr. and Mrs. R. McKinley, Taumarunui, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hirst -during the- week-end.
