BOMB ON RACECOURSE
ATTEMPT UPON TOTALISATOR. . NIGHT BEFORE A RACE MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, Nov. 17. An attempt at midnight to blow up the automatic totalisator power house of the ■Williamstown racecourse was frustrated by the vigilance of the watchman, who fired several shots at the escaping intruder. A bomb with four fuses attached was found near the power house door. The Williamstown races were held today.
