FAILURE OF CLAIM
SEQUEL TO MOTOR COLLISION. WELLINGTON STREET SMASH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. “We find the defendant not guilty on the weight of evidence,” announced the foreman of a jury in the Wellington Supreme Court to-day at the conclusion of the case in which David Sidney Needham, motor body builder, a minor, represented by his guardian ad litem, Arthur Samuel Needham, Government messenger, claimed £738 4s from William Taylor, a city council employee. Judgment therefore went to the defendant with costs. The case was a sequel to a collision in Wakefield Street on May 4 between plaintiff’s motor-cycle and a motor-car driven by Taylor.
