WORLD EVENT POSTPONED. EMPIRE PRESS UNION CLASH. By Telegraph —Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 7.30 p.m. Columbia (Miss.), Nov. 10. Dr. Williams announced that the world Press conference at Melbourne has been postponed, “due to the present world economic conditions and the conflict in dates with the Empire Press Union.” He said the future date will be selected later. „ . . .. The statement added: It is felt the exchange situation and general business conditions are such that the . postponement of the Melbourne .meeting would work to advantage to the Press Congress and its membership.”
