BOY’S PUBLIC SERVICE
NEW PLYMOUTH LAD COMMENDED. A number of charges against a man of 28 years of age of indecent assault on lads was heard in the New Plymouth Children’s Court yesterday. The accused was committed for trial. In the’course of the evidence it was disclosed that one lad of 15 upon the first indecent suggestion by the accused struck him in the face with his clenched fist and immediately informed a policeman. The magistrate commended the boy’s action saying that he had acted very properly and that if the evidence were true he had done a public service.
