WOMEN’S TENNIS TOUR
DELAY CAUSED IN DOMINION. REGRET OF AUSTRALIAN COUNCIL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11.35 p.m. Melbourne, Oct. 12. The Lawn Tennis Council of Australia regrets the action of the New Zealand Association in not allowing the British women tennis players to leave the Dominion in time to play an international match at Sydney on November 15 to 17. It is pointed out that the later arrival of the women will greatly inconvenience the Australian body which is bearing the cost of the tour.
