On Monday evening a euchre party in aid ’of St. John’s Church was held m the St. John’s halh The prize-winners were Mesdames Pizzey and Faigan. Mrs. G. Marshall entertained relatives and friends on Friday afternoon on the occasion of the 90th birthday of her mother, Mrs. T. Palmer. Representatives of the Waitara Plunket Society, who attended the address given by Dr. Martin Tweed at New Plymouth on Monday afternoon, were Mesdames W B. Glasgow, W. V. Morey, G. P. Fuller, H. Wells, and P. Appleby.

The ladies’ closing day at the Manukorihi Golf Club was held on Tuesday afternoon. When afternoon tea had been served, Mrs. Prichard, club captain, welcomed the visitors, and Mr. E. A. George presented the trophies won during the season. On behalf of the Visitors Mrs. Glasgow thanked the members for a pleasant afternoon. Mrs..h. Sarten’s trophy for the visitors’ putting competition was won by Mrs. Glasgow.
