NO ITALIAN PLANES
MELBOURNE CENTENARY RACE. BRITISH FLYER’S ARRANGEMENTS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 11. It is reported from Rome that Italy is not participating in the Centenary Air Race, which starts on October 20. Only one Italian plane was entered. Meanwhile the British competitors!’ arrangements are progressing well. Mr. J. A. Mollison intends flying via the Balkans and Turkey, Mustapha Kemal having just permitted him ro fly over Turkey, which was previously refused. The New Zealander, Mr. J. K. Baines, accompanies Flying-Officer Gilman. The New Zealander, Mr. H. C. Walker, accompanies Captain McGregor.
