FULL PROGRAMME AT PERTH. OPENING OF BIG WAR MEMORIAL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.20 p.m. Perth, Oct. 5. The Royal festivities were continued overnight with a ball at Government House. Prince Henry’s first dancing partner was the daughter of Sir James Mitchell, the lieutenant-governor.* 'The Duke of Gloucester to-day performed the opening ceremony at Anzac House, of a war memorial which is to be the headquarters of returned soldiers. It is set in picturesque surroundings. He paid a tribute to the Anzacs of Gallipoli and the Dominion troops in France, Palestine and other war theatres. He inspected more than 4000 troops. He visited the repatriation hospital and chatted with unfortunate ex-servicemen still confined to their beds. Wherever he went the Prince encountered cheering crowds, which were greatly impressed by his soldierly figure and affability. There was a civic reception for His Highness this afternoon at the Perth Oval with spectacular drilling by boy scouts and girl guides. There was also a march past the dais. The Duke to-night will motor to Yanchep National Park 30 miles north of Perth where he will attend a private dance in natural grotto. .
