DUNEDIN PIPER’S SUCCESS
ATTENDING ABERDEEN COLLEGE.
COMPETED AGAINST WORLD’S BEST

Peter Davidson, not Dawson, as cabled, who won the piping competition against Scotland’s best at Oban, is aged 25. He was born and educated in Dunedin and has taken part in piping competitions in New Zealand since he was ten. He won the New Zealand piobaireachd championship ai Dunedin in June, 1933, and left in January last to attend a college at Aberdeen. He intends to obtain further experience in Canada and return to New Zealand next year. While in Scotland he competed with success against the world’s best pipers at the Ellon Games. He was second in the Strathspeys and reels, and won the marches.
