LONG SESSION PROBABLE
LEGISLATION BEFORE HOUSE.
DAIRY INDUSTRY MEASURES.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Sept. 15.
Indications that the present session of Parliament would most likely be a long one were given by Mr. G. W. Forbes, Prime Minister, last night. He said it would be difficult to forecast whether Parliament would rise before December.
The pile of legislation ahead included matters concerning the Dairy Commission’s report. A Bill based on the interim report of that commission was being drafted to facilitate progress when the full report was ready. Other matters from which legislation might arise were concerned with Customs, the companies’ inquiry, the Native Commission report and alterations to the mining laws.
