Correspondence in 'connection with the death of a returned soldier and allegations made’ against the Southland Hospital Board were considered by the board in committee to-day. It was later announced that the board had approved of the action of its finance committee in asking the Department of Health to have a full inquiry made into the facts connected with the man’s illness and his subsequent death.
