CEREAL GROUP HIGHEST SINCE 1930.

Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Sept. 12.2 The average of wholesale prices for August showed a rise of 2.1 per cent., compared with July, and 3.1 per cent, over August of last year. Tire respective numbers are 88.5, 86.7 and 85.8. Food prices increased by 6% per cent, from the previous month, and the index for the cereal group is the highest recorded since August, 1930. Industrial materials, however, continued the down; ward trend which began in March.
