BOLAND MAKES DECISION PROTECTION OF MINORITIES NO SUPPORT FROM POWERS COLLABORATION REFUSED By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright. Rec. 12.45 a.m. Geneva, Sept. 13. The Polish Foreign Minister, M. Joseph Beck, dropped a bombshell at the Assembly of the League of Nations today when he announced that Poland would refuse to collaborate with the League’s international organs for the protection of minorities. Poland was taking that step, M. Beck said, because the other Powers did not seem anxious to support Poland’s constant requests to generalise the minority clauses of the Versailles Treaty and submit the matter to an international conference. ' .
