TOKIRIMA “HARD-UP” BALL
GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS. The committee of the Tokirima Soldiers' Memorial Hall held a successful “hardup” masquerade ball. The winners of the prizes were: Best hard-up costume, Mrs. MacDonald, Opatu, Miss T. Sandilands, Tokirima; Monte Carlo, Miss .R. Shields and Mr. M. Lay; guessing competition, Mrs. Libline. The Otunui orchestra supplied the music for the dance. Miss McLeod is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. Libline. Mr. N. Old is visiting his brother, Mr. O. Old. Mrs. Greathead has come to reside with her daughter. Mrs. N. Buchanan. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffreys, Westport, are visiting Mr. B. Dwyer. Mr. and Mrs. W. Dowle, Mananui, are visiting Mrs. Sandilands. Mr. and Mrs. A. Gibbons and family have left Tokirima. to reside at National Park.
