ALARM FELT IN THE WAIRARAPA.

“That the Masterton Optimist Club views with alarm the continued exploita-
tion of the remaining forests of the Dominion, particularly in the Wairarapa, and resolves to bring the matter under the notice of other Optimist Clubs in New Zealand for an expression of opinion,” was the text of a resolution passed by the club at to-day’s meeting.
